If you like the outdoors, you’ll love Forsyth. Our public parks feature dozens of acres of woods and open fields, as well as an 18-hole disc golf course, tennis and basketball courts, soccer fields and baseball diamonds, and batting cages — all connected by miles and miles of paved walking and bicycling paths. Within walking distance of many Forsyth residences is the Decatur Park District’s Hickory Point Golf Course. The 18 hole public course plays host each year to a tournament event on the Symetra Tour, the official qualifying tour for the LPGA.

Forsyth Park is also home to the large and small pavilions with grills, picnic tables, and electricity (if needed).  These pavilions can be reserved through Village Hall to ensure the use of the pavilions for a specific date and time.  A form, that can be found here, is required to be filled out and returned to Village Hall to officially reserve a pavilion.  If no one has reserved a pavilion, it can be used on a first come first serve basis.  Also, nestled throughout the Village are six smaller neighborhood parks (often referred to as "pocket parks") that feature playground equipment and gazebos.
