Any Forsyth resident who is 21 years old or over may reserve the Community Center or Conference Room. Forsyth Residents may NOT resereve the room for non-residents. Applications shall be submitted to Village Hall in person. Reservations will be allowed up to six months in advance and will be limited to two consecutive days. Groups must not exceed 90 people for the Community Center and 25 people for the Conference Room. Users of the Community Center shall pay according to the following schedule:
Rates for the Conference Room shall be $15 for 1/2 day (6 hrs) and $25 for a full day. A deposit of $75 shall be paid when keys are picked up. A refund of $75 will be made when keys are returned (providing the Community Center or Conference Room is left in satisfactory condition). No public sales (rummage, auction, etc.) in the building. Non-profit organizations in Forsyth may use the Conference Room free of charge Sunday through Friday noon. A regular fee applies on Friday afternoon or Saturday. (Non-profit is identified as anyone with a tax-exempt number or anyone affiliated with a non-profit agency (school booster clubs, church bible studies, scouting groups, etc.) Such organizations shall limit advanced reservations to a six-week period or less. Proof of non-profit status will be provided at the time the reservation is made. Closing time is 11:00 p.m. The building is to be left clean. Equipment in the rooms is provided for use, but set up or tear down is the responsibility of the user. All lights and appliances must be turned off, doors locked, and the key returned to Village Hall. Tables and chairs may not be set or left up before or beyond the time stated on the user's agreement. If extra time is used, or if the building is not left in satisfactory condition, the deposit may be forfeited. The use of alcoholic beverages or drugs is prohibited in the Community Center, Conference Room or on their grounds. Smoking is prohibited inside the building. Community Center/Conference Room users shall be financially responsible for loss or damages that occur during use. No objects shall be nailed or directly fastened to any part of the building. Any infraction of these rules may result in the refusal of future use of the Community Center or Conference Room. Incoming calls may be received at the Community Center or Conference Room. The phone number is 877-2633. Any group/individual that desires to use either room with more frequency than once per month must have written permission of the Village Administrator. Users of the Community Center/Conference Room should refrain from parking in the Post Office parking lot. Mail is picked up in that lot seven days a week. Users should not park in front of the Library during Library hours. You and your guests may park your vehicles on the east side of the Library or across the street on the west side of the Library. |
