Community Foundation accepting scholarship apps in January

Over $75,000 in scholarships available again for 2018

The Community Foundation of Macon County is pleased to announce that its online scholarship application for the 2018-2019 academic year opens on January 1, 2018, at High school seniors in Macon County who have been accepted at an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Additionally, current college students should apply for scholarships.

Only completed electronic applications will be considered. The deadline for online applications is Thursday, March 1, 2018, and Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 12 a.m. (Check individual scholarships for specific deadlines).

Generous donors who are committed to education have established several scholarship funds through The Community Foundation of Macon County. Each year, these funds provide over $75,000 and benefit approximately 50 students in Macon County who seek higher education. Scholarship awards vary in size from $250 to $6,000.
