Basketball, tennis courts approved for repair

Thursday, August 30, 2018

Public Works Director Larry Coloni reported to trustees at the August 20 Board meeting about having some repair work done on the Village’s tennis courts and a basketball court located behind Forsyth Public Library.

“I contacted our representative from All Weather Courts in Springfield to provide a cost to sealcoat and crack-fill our basketball court behind the library,” Coloni’s written report stated.

He added that the same company did the work on the tennis courts a couple of years ago, and this type of work is their specialty.

The quote, Coloni said, is $4,820 and includes repairing cracks on the tennis courts, which amounts to about 100 feet. He asked for authorization from the Board to spend $4,820 and noted that he had put $10,000 in the current budget for the project.

Trustee Jim Peck made the motion, which was seconded by Trustee Bob Gruenewald. All votes were Yea, and the motion carried.
