Elderwatch changes name to Community Watch

Thursday, July 27, 2017

To better reflect its participants, Elderwatch has changed its name to Community Watch. Still focusing on safety and up-to-date information, Community Watch will continue to provide members of the greater Forsyth area an opportunity to connect with each other and learn from a variety of speakers. Attendees will receive a brief overview of law-enforcement activities in the area while enjoying coffee and light refreshments. Held the first Monday of each month at 1 p.m. in the library’s Community Room, Community Watch is open to everyone and is sponsored by the Macon County Sheriff’s Department with support from Forsyth Public Library. Community Watch’s next meeting is Monday, August 7. Andrew Zupkoff, community and economic development coordinator for the Village of Forsyth, will be the featured speaker. Zupkoff will update development projects underway in Forsyth, as well as preview what’s next for the Village. Come find out more about the TIF district and additional retail/restaurant and residential developments.
