Forsyth turns 59

Thursday, June 15, 2017

Hickory Point Fire House hosted the Village of Forsyth’s 59th birthday bash on May 21 to mark the anniversary of the Village’s incorporation, which occurred May 22, 1958.

Coincidentally, Shauna Bohlmann, event coordinator for the Village, reported a head count of 59 visitors for this festive 59th birthday celebration.

Mayor Marilyn Johnson, trustees, and members of the Public Works Department, joined firefighters in welcoming residents for a celebratory donut or two. Former mayor, Bob Bischoff, also stopped by to note the occasion.

Special thanks to the generous Hickory Point firefighters-hosts, including Fire Chief Scott Deal, Matt Harding, Greg Meyers, Jeremy Clark and Blake Ashby.
