St. Patrick’s Day Drop-in

What is at the end of the rainbow? Golden Chocolate! Drop into Forsyth Public Library any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 to make a crafty game that you can eat when you are finished playing.

Story Times

Join us Friday mornings at 10 a.m. for preschool story time! On March 2, wear your silliest stockings for Silly Socks story time. Come back on March 9 and Barnyard Boogie with us! On March 16, we’ll celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. You don’t want to miss it! Story times are geared toward children ages 3 to 5. Siblings are welcome, and no registration is necessary.

Baby Talk

Parents and caregivers of children ages birth to 3 are welcome to join their youngsters for a time of interaction through story, song and play. Grownups can share challenges and accomplishments. Baby Talk is offered at the library every Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m. No registration is required.

Tech Club

Digital security is the featured topic for the March Tech Club meeting at the library. Val Bock from VCB Consulting will discuss strategies for protecting privacy and security while online, including Facebook settings, password management and ways to control your online identity. Tech Club meets Tuesday, March 13 at 10 a.m., and no registration is necessary.

Book Discussion Groups

Food for Thought Book Group will meet Thursday, March 8 at 6 p.m. to discuss Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance, a bestselling memoir of a self-described “hillbilly” from a poor Rust Belt town. Bookkeepers Book Group will meet Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. to discuss My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella, described by the publisher as “part love story, part workplace drama … a witty critique of the false judgments we make in a social-media-obsessed world.” Book group discussions are open to any adult, and no registration is necessary.

Adult Watercolor Class

Learn how to create with watercolor! Instructor Jennifer Stout will lead participants step by step in creating a beautiful watercolor landscape in an adult class on Saturday, March 10 from 10-11:30 a.m. Please register in advance by coming into the library or by calling 877-8174.
