Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Kids, do you ever wonder what your teddy bears or other stuffed animals do while you sleep at night? Imagine all the fun that they will have when you drop them off at the library for an overnight adventure. Leave them at the library on Friday, November 2 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. We will take great care of them, with lots of planned activities for your stuffed friends. Return Saturday, November 3 at 10 a.m. to pick them up. We’ll have donuts and juice together while we watch a slideshow of all the fun things the animals did at night! Parents, please make sure that the stuffed friend will not be missed during the night.

Book Discussion Groups

The library’s two book discussion groups are open to adult readers each month. Food for Thought Book Group will meet Thursday, November 8 at 6 p.m. November’s selection is The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George. Bookkeepers Book Group will meet Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. to discuss Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall.

Story Time

Be sure to join us for preschool story times on Friday mornings at 10 a.m. at the library! We sing songs, create a craft, play games and listen to stories all centered on a theme. November 2 will be Plump Pumpkin Story Time. Come back on November 9 for Monkey See, Monkey Do. On November 16 we’ll have fun with Bright, Shiny Buttons. Story Times are geared toward 2-5 year olds. Siblings are welcome to attend, and no registration is necessary.

Baby Talk

Socialize with other parents and caregivers of children ages birth-3 on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. These informal parent/child sessions are led by trained Baby TALK instructors and provide opportunity to share parenting concerns and celebrate achievements while enjoying books, songs and fingerplays. Baby TALK is free, with no registration required.

Winter Wonderland Craft

Make a beautiful paper loop tree on Saturday, November 10 at 10 a.m. Instructors Shelly Smith and Darris Weakly will show you how to create your choice of winter or Christmas tree, with all supplies provided. Please register in advance for this adult craft program.

Tech Club
