Story Time

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with us at Story Time on February 15 at Forsyth Public Library. We’ll listen to stories, sing, play and create together every Friday at 10 a.m. Wind up for our Play Ball Story Time on February 22. Then join us on March 1 for “How are You Feeling?” Story Time where we’ll learn about our emotions. All story times are geared toward ages 2-5 with siblings welcome to join. No registration is required.

Family LEGO Fun

Bring your family to the library to build with our LEGOs and enjoy imaginative fun together on Saturday, February 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There are no age restrictions, and no registration is necessary. Just come create and have fun!


Parents and caregivers of children ages birth to 3 are welcome to join their youngsters for a time of interaction through story, song and play led by trained Baby TALK instructors. Grownups can share challenges and accomplishments. Baby TALK is every Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m. No registration is required.

Winter STEAM

Explore science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics during the library’s winter STEAM events. We’ll make slime, magic milk, salt paintings and so much more! Former science teacher and current homeschool instructor Cheryl Higgs will lead kids ages 7 and up in exciting hands-on activities on Thursdays in February from 4-5 p.m. There are still a few spots available, but they are going fast so register soon by calling 877-8174. Dance with Me

Dance and learn with your little one at the library. Join Michi Barber from the Dance Centre at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19 as she encourages development through music and dance. Sessions are designed for ages 16 months through 3 years, but all children not yet in kindergarten are welcome. Come dance with Michi on the third Tuesday of each month. No registration is required.


Have you seen the PENpal language pens and books at the library? PENpal is a device that plays back audio when used with the special books, reading the text in a variety of languages. The pens currently available at the library are loaded with Urdu, Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic and English. What other languages would you like to see added? Contact the library at 877-8174 or

Just use the barcode number on the back of your library card as your password. Whether you need information for Black History Month, Presidents Day or just to learn more about current events, Biography in Context is the place to start for the very latest information on everyone from Abraham Lincoln to Donald Trump.
