Movie Night overcomes the rain

Thursday, July 26, 2018

When you attempt to have outdoor events on summer evenings under the stars in this part of the country, you have to be ready to improvise when Mother Nature delivers bad weather.

That’s what happened when the rains paid a visit on Movie Night in Forsyth Park on July 14 when Paddington 2 was the feature. But hearty Midwesterners adapted by moving the event under the pavilion.

“The rain didn’t keep everyone away,” according to Shauna Bohlmann, Village events coordinator. “We moved everything under the large pavilion and still had several families join us for a fun evening.”

Next up: Sherlock Gnomes on Saturday, August 25 8:30 p.m. in the park.
